Rachel Fine,
RDN

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Rachel Fine is a former professional dancer turned Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She founded To The Pointe Nutrition in 2013 with the mission to provide certified nutrition education to dancers of all ages and levels. As a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and Certified Counselor of Intuitive Eating, Rachel built The Healthy Dancer® community to combine the principles of performance nutrition with a non-diet approach to eating.

Megan Barker,
PT, DPT, OCS

Physical Therapist

Megan Barker is a physical therapist and health coach who works with dancers so they can feel their best, performing with confidence and longevity. She has a special interest in supporting dancers with hypermobility and connective tissue disorders. Megan works with physical therapy clients in Washington DC and Virginia and virtual health coaching clients worldwide. She continues to love dancing whether it's in modern classes or in her living room.

Dr. David Popoli is a board-certified PM&R and sports medicine physician. He completed medical residency at Harvard and sports medicine fellowship at Boston Children's. He has previously collaborated with the Boston and Atlanta Ballet, USA Cycling, and the US Olympic Training Center. He currently serves as an attending physician in the Department of Orthopedics at Wake Forest Baptist Health and as consulting physician with the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (Winston Salem, North

Lauren Newby, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Lauren began her dancing career at two and a half and studied ballet, tap, jazz until she was eighteen. From 2001 to 2005, Lauren attended DeSales University and earned her BA with honors in Dance. From the fall of 2009 to the fall of 2013, Lauren enjoyed a performing career with Undertoe Dance Project, A jazz/tap fusion company based in NYC, where Lauren danced with the company as a jazz dancer and tap swing while also working behind the scenes as the Company Manager. Since the fall of 2005, Lauren has been teaching and choreographing for studios, high schools and middle schools throughout the state Lauren earned her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from Union County College in 2016. Lauren now works with Kessler Rehabilitation Center and is the Dance Specialist and Performing Arts Special Interest Group lead.
