The toes taper down from the first toe, & the foot is slightly compressible, thin and narrow width throughout. (Though I do think the picture makes her foot look wider, & caveat is it’s a child’s foot, so she wouldn’t actually be fitted for pointe shoes until much later.) This foot has a natural tendency to pronate in and the toes tend to scrunch up when standing.

With all of that information, I would suggest she start with more supportive all satin ribbons and crossed thicker elastics when she begins pointe work, but she could adapt from there and go with her preferences after establishing some strength. I think the ouch pouch jr.’s would be a good place to start unless she wants some fabric underneath…

I was surprised my measurements didn’t change throughout the day, as my feet are very compressible, but at least it should be easy to find the correct size. I would need to measure again just after workout/dancing/etc. to see if there is a change, rather than right before bed. *I had to post here because it wouldn’t let me on the assignment page & my other device I was working from broke this week.

I have a low arch, Egyptian foot type with toes that are on the long side. I would say my foot is pretty strong and doesn't need much support.

I would fit myself in the Bloch Eurostretch. The stretchy material will form to my foot and enhance my arch. This shoe will also allow me to articulate my foot very well since it is a split sole design. It also has a pretty high vamp which will cover my toes.

With my low arch, highly compressible feet, with longer second toe, tapered toes, longer toes compared with total length of foot, and significantly wider metatarsal than heel, there are a few matches that would be good possibilities for flexible flat feet with some strength.

My Feet:

Toes long compared to short length of foot, which is African in shape, with first two toes of similar length, while other 3 taper down. I have very low, but flexible and stronger arches than when I first went on pointe, so I no longer need the softest shank, I believe a medium will work, and last longer. My metatarsals are probably on the medium size for most pointe shoes. I feel that taking my foot as a whole, my heel is much smaller than the metatarsal area, and I have quite compressible feet.
