Assignment 5
With my low arch, highly compressible feet, with longer second toe, tapered toes, longer toes compared with total length of foot, and significantly wider metatarsal than heel, there are a few matches that would be good possibilities for flexible flat feet with some strength.
Repetto
La Carlotta
This shoe's recommended fit for most, and high customization is the best bet from this brand. The medium shank and medium box should offer the right strength, while the long vamp and wings should support the metatarsal and not break too low on me.
R-Class
Crescenda
This shoe being comparable to the Encore, which is my best fit shoe to date, I can predict this to be the best fit for me. The moderate taper should work best, as I have had a more tapered shoe from Russian Pointe, and they scrunched my metatarsal too much, to where they were painful. Square shoes are not a good fit either, so this amount of taper in this shoe is perfect. With the pleats it would pitch me over the platform, so this may feel good when I work to get over my platform, building strength and proper placement.
Other Variants:
Brillante
I'm curious about this shoe, as the pleatless design placing the feet higher in the shoe may feel good, and I haven't felt the smooth platform on a shoe before. The broader metatarsal piqued my interest, though I don't know if it would be too wide, but my metatarsal area is wide compared to the heel, and taking into consideration the compressibility of the toes, I wonder if this would fit my foot shape.
Incande
I like the V throated shoes like this one, and the long wings could be a factor I need, because I like to avoid breaking shoes in too low, and that may be the support I need in the metatarsal area that other shoes may be too low in.
